Expertise and equipment

The energy storage division has cutting-edge technical equipment and machinery, which allows us to conduct a wide range of studies:

  • Argon-inert gas workstations
  • Testing equipment for the cyclisation of single cells and battery systems
  • Climatic chambers (-60 – 150 °C; 10 – 95% rel. humidity; 64–5000 l test chamber volume)
  • Battery testing equipment (6V / 3 A, 5 A, 100 A)
  • Cyclic voltammetry
  • Impedance spectroscopy (2 devices each 1 MHz – 300 kHz to 2 A, 200 µHz – 50 kHz to 100 A)
  • Scanning electron microscope (FIB and EDX)
  • Thermal analyses (DSC, LFA, TGA)
  • Single cell tester 8 V/80 A
  • Film stretchers, film welders
  • Software: Ansys Fluent, Comsol Multiphysics® , matlab-simulink, Inventor
  • Fully equipped power electronics laboratory
